Meet Lynda Thrift

Welcome to my Stories!

Written by Lynda Thrift, here's a glimpse into my life:

I'm a Yorkshire lass, hailing from a quaint mill town where memories of towering chimneys and bustling looms still linger. Despite humble beginnings, I was fortunate to pursue my passion for Chemistry at university. Along the way, I crossed paths with my husband and embarked on an adventure that took us to the Land Down Under for five memorable years.

During our time in Australia, our family expanded with the arrival of two beautiful babies (thankfully not simultaneously!). Eventually, we returned home, but our lives took an unexpected turn one Christmas Eve when a forlorn puppy found its way to our doorstep.

This little furball, a Failed Guide Dog with a fear of butchers and men in white coats, quickly became the heart and soul of our household.

Brimming with mischief and an insatiable appetite for both mud and food, this canine companion led me into countless escapades that often left me chuckling in disbelief.

From navigating through sticky situations to embracing the unexpected, every misadventure with our beloved pup became a chapter in our family's story. And so, inspired by our furry friend's antics, I embarked on a new journey as an author, penning my first book, Waggy Tales.

Join me as I share the laughter, love, and lessons learned through the pages of My Stor(ies). Because sometimes, the most extraordinary tales are the ones we live every day.

My Wonderful Team

While the stories may begin with an idea and a blank page, bringing them to life is very much a team effort. I am fortunate to work alongside a small group of talented professionals whose creativity, expertise, and dedication help transform my ideas into the books you see today.

Meet My Illustrator: Mariangela Graps

Based in Italy, Mariangela is the talented artist responsible for bringing many of my stories and characters to life. Her beautiful illustrations perfectly capture the emotion, humour, and adventure within each book, transforming words into captivating visual experiences for readers of all ages.

Beyond her work as an illustrator, Mariangela is an art teacher and a published author in her own right. She has a deep passion for Renaissance art and, in her spare time, contributes to the restoration of artworks in the historic city of Bologna. Her creativity, artistic vision, and attention to detail have become an essential part of my books and the worlds they create.

Meet My Graphic Designer: Gary Nickolls

Based in the West Midlands of England, Gary is the creative mind behind the design and layout of my books. Once the stories are written and the illustrations complete, Gary carefully brings everything together, ensuring that every image, chapter, and page flows seamlessly for the reader.

His ability to balance design with storytelling is a skill in itself, helping to create books that are not only enjoyable to read but visually engaging from beginning to end. With experience across a wide range of creative projects, Gary's expertise has been instrumental in shaping the finished books readers enjoy today.

Meet My Web Designer: Charley Purkiss

Charley Purkiss of Gone Rogue Web Design is the talented professional behind this website. From the earliest stages of development, Charley has provided invaluable guidance, creativity, and technical expertise to help showcase my books and connect with readers online.

Perhaps most importantly, she has taken the ideas and visions I had for sharing my stories and transformed them into a beautiful, functional website that reflects both my books and my journey as an author. Her dedication and attention to detail have made this online home for my stories possible.
